INDIRECT COST PROPOSALS

  • Which costs are allowed and which ones are not?
  • How should you reconcile actual to proposed costs?
  • What is the best way to prepare your IDC proposal before it goes to NBC (formerly OIG)?

Indirect costs are broadly misunderstood. Often, programs cannot function without this additional source of funding. Indirect costs are even more vital to a small rural Community that has no back up sources of funding to administer programs. Correctly classifying costs allows the Tribe to receive the maximum funding. IDC proposals can add another important segment of funding for your programs.

AXIOM CAN ASSIST

AXIOM can prepare your indirect cost proposal, negotiate these costs with the appropriate federal agency and get the maximum additional funding available for your Tribal organization. The Bureau of Indian Affairs (the BIA) and Indian Health Service (IHS) both have monies available each year to help fund your programs. Your Tribe should maximize these dollars for the benefit of your Communities.
